Jay-Z x NY Yankee Collabo

Well Hova is back at it again and this time we see it happening with the Yankees. Before I even get into it I have to say that only Jay-Z could make something like this happen and it actually works with a sports team. The collaboration of Jay-Z and the NY Yankees will show a co-branded collection which will only be available at Yankee Stadium. Just take a look at some of the merchandise below where you see Jay-Z Blueprint 3 insignia stitched on the side and well of course its not hard to miss the tops available in this line. If you want to get the gear, go over to the Yankee Stadium Great Hall Team Store until the close of Jay-Z’s concert which he will co-headline with Eminem on September 13th and 14th

Supra Assualt :: 2010 Fall Lineup

With fall rounding the corner we see companies releasing all there new items which will hit inventories around the globe shortly. Below are pictures of the Supra Assaults. With the growing trend of the classic Chuck Taylors its no wonder why companies are using that same blueprint to create and redesign footwear in there honor. Some people may find what I am saying to be false but more and more shoes are taking the same principle blueprint of a good pair of converse and adding there touch to them. Check out the pics below and tell me what you think.

Ryan Leslie x Krys Ivory "I'll Still Be Yours" In Studio

From the very first time I heard a Ryan Leslie track I was instantly a fan of the kid's work. I've featured him on many of the Ladies Choice RnB mixtapes. With a definite Harlem flair to him, he's grown in skill and talent over the years and is now considered by many to be one of the most talented and gifted Producer/Singer/Songwriters in the business. Take quick look into a day in the life of Ryan Leslie

Jay-Z feat. Chris Martin -"Most Kingz" (New Music)

As a compliment to his recently released Invasion Radio 2K10 Mixtape, DJ Green Lantern unearthed an old Jay-Z song featuring Chris Martin. Originally, the lyrics heard from Jay were featured on the Funkmaster Flex show a while back. But as Miss Info reports, Green Lantern had the acapella's of Jay's verse since 2006. The lyrics just needed a beat, which were attempted by the likes of Timbaland and Just Blaze and even Lantern himself. The end result was heard on Funkmaster Flex's show and Coldplay's "Lost (remix)". The track was also a by product of the same session Martin and Jay-Z recorded "Beach Chair", their collaborative track featured on Jay-Z's Kingdom Come.

Atlanta, Ga 08-2010 "EMBRACE LIFE"

Atlanta, Ga is a city a distinct style and flair that's all it's own. I enjoy my trips to the city to dj. I get to see old friends, visit my lil sis, and dj amazing events. This trip was a trip to celebrate the birthday of Kevin Caesar a member of Trends Concepts.

I did a guest appearance at a Ciroc Rooftop Party in downtown Georgia on the rooftop of the Glen Hotel. Some of the beautiful Atlanta people came to socialize and enjoy a great afternoon. Despite a few splurts of rain, it was a great afternoon lime.

That night at Thrive was full of energy as people flew in from all over ready to party! A very good amount of people were in theme "All White…" Dj Shane(Black Talon) kept us moving from early and you could just sense that it was going to be a very fun night! I will say the highlight of the night was when the birthday boy kicked me off the set and made me go Palance with the people! As always the people are of Atlanta were beautiful and full of energy! Never a boring night in the city……….

Chivalrous Culture :: Young Fresh Brand

So every day my life leads me to search for everything thats new hot and worthy of blogging about. Todays feature is that of sneaker couture. I present to you Chivalrous Culture and word on the streets is that this new footwear line was developed and inspired by Young Diggy Simmons. Now, in my world of everything SuperDopeFresh one thing is for certain when mixing up a recipe for a success. Simply take a celebrity with a good sense of fashion and perfectly blend that together with a hot line and you get yourself a young fresh brand which will do numbers like its the last thing on earth. Seriously, who doesn't want to be seen wearing the newest hottest trends that the likes of the A-List are rocking. Young Diggy Simmons stays true to his family roots by projecting himself into music, becoming an entrepeneur and following in the foot steps of his sisters and creating a stylish footwear line. I have to co-sign on these and say it definitely feels SuperDopeFresh. Chivalrous Culture is available online and in several dope colorways at http://www.chivculture.com/. Go check them out!

Wu-Tang Clan Reveled Trailer

With no disrespect to Run DMC, Furious Five, Sugar Hill Gang, NWA, or any other rap group that was there before or after... WU-TANG CLAN was the greatest rap group of ALL TIME(in my opinion of course...) I remember listening to the 36 Chambers over and over and over and over and over! Teachers moved me to the front of the class so that they can make sure that I am not sneaking headphones on to listen to my walkman. The Clan's imprint on hip hop on a whole was something that none of us were ready for, and yet we still are trying to grasp how this group simply appeared from no where and shut down the industry... I cannot wait for this insight into the good, the bad and the darkside of the mega group "WU-TANG CLAN!"

DWELE - WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE

Soul Music fans please don't crucify me for putting this video up so late. Just enjoy the good music...

WASHINGTON D.C. 08-2010

It's been about 2.5 years since I played my last gig in Washington D.C. It felt good to be back in the place that started my love for touring. When asked where I wanted to stay, Georgetown was my obvious choice. I wanted to see what had changed since I left and also to see what goodies I would find that I didn't see before. I saw a few changes and stumbled upon quite a few goodies. I was also honored to meet up with my stylist and very good friend Latoya Sutton of "Elite Styling Firm."
The most noticeable sight to see was the infamous "Georgetown Cupake." I've heard the stories about the crazy lines at anytime of the day, filled with people from all over the world, but I did not expect to see the line that I saw! We drove past around 10:30am then as the day went along the line seemed to be longer everytime I walked past! Amazing!
Next I took a random side street off the strip and found "J.Chocolatier!" We decided to walk in and found a wonderland of treats! Everything made fresh daily and all to do with chocolate. I know quite a few people who would've lost their minds in there and ate till they were sick…lol!
After seeing people's obsession with sweets, I did feel a bit guilty and went over to Dean and Deluca because I know they usually have the fresh fruit stand where you can get the a cup of fruit and/or a freshly made smoothie. I felt better after that smoothie. We spent the rest of day roaming through out Georgetown... "Note: If you run into your stylist in a shopping district, wear shorts and sneakers...Whew"

Miami White 14-08-2010
Venue: Heritage India
Djs: Dj Super slice, Dj Sypda, Dj Crown Prince

Dj Super Slice was the very first person who flew me into anywhere to play music, so when he told me that he's on the campaign to bring caribbean sexy back to the city, I was all in. The ambiance walking into the venue was perfect. You just knew that the party was going to sexy and fun. Music was handled by Super slice, Sypda, and myself(The original XradioDC family!) The music was a great blend of Dancehall, Soca, Hip Hop, and my favorite Old School. Mostly everyone walked in dressed in white and ready to have fun. I saw people who I haven't seen in years, including Myxradio friends and even family! Yet, the highlight of my night was getting to introduce some random tourists to the power of "Palance!"

D.C. was great and I'll definitely return more often to continue the love movement!

Sexy In Black 07-Aug-2010

Location: Sosta Lounge in Hollywood, Fl

I would like to thank everyone who came out to "Sexy In Black." The party was filled with guests from all over the world. There was definitely a fun party spirit in the air, and the night was filled with fun, music, and good times. Quite a few people came out to celebrate their birthday and the Leo's made sure everyone was in a celebratory mood as well. 90% of the attendees followed the theme and arrived, "Sexy in Black!" In the words of one member of the bar staff, "Oh man, I haven't seen so many people let loose and simply enjoy life like this in a long time!"

Donaeo - I'm Fly

Since first hearing "Party Hard" overseas in june 2009, I have been a fan of Donaeo mix of African Beat, Funky House, Urban, and Caribbean... "I'm fly" is definitely along the lines of what we need to hear on the international stage of music...

Kayne West - Power

Say whatever you want about Kayne West, but you have to admit that the man is a great artist. We've all been patiently waiting to see what his next visual release would look like, hoping that he'd raise the bar after his self imposed hiatus(unlike Tiger Woods). I can say that I am very impressed. You be the judge...

Auto-Tune The News!! Latest Episode

I am not much of a youtube surfer, but I do occasionally look around to see what fun and creative things people are up too. When my eyes and ears originally landed on Auto-Tune The News earlier this year I was blown away by the pure genius of what this kids were doing... The Gregory Brothers are taking REAL news clips, writing and producing songs about the topics, and of course throw some auto-tune on the vocals and you have GREATNESS!! Here is there latest release but feel free to subscribe to them and prepare to laugh non stop!!

Toronto - Caribana Weekend 2010

Continuing my "Summer of Love Tour" the next stop was Toronto, Canada for the Caribbean Carnival named "Caribana". This was my first time attending and my first adult/dj experience in Toronto. I have been told by many people that Caribana is on one of the largest and most influential weekends in the soca/calypso genre.

Within my first few moments surveying the city on the way from the airport, the city seemed oddly familiar to me, so many buildings and sub-sections seemed like somewhere I've been. As soon as I got into downtown, it all hit me at once! Toronto is the northern cousin to New York City! My hotel was in the heart of downtown so I spent every spare moment walking around downtown, roaming like I lived there all my life. Due to the busy weekend I was unable to do any fine dining, but when you walk into your hotel in downtown, and they are giving you free beef patties because it's carnival weekend, you know that your in a great city…

Here is a quick run down of events that I worked and attended

Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie

Now this was the first song off Eminem's latest album that caught my attention. It is such a deep story of Love but really as the song continues you realize that it is more about an abusive relationship with domestic violence and show the dark side of and man who is unable to control himself and abuses the woman who is with him. She continues to come back to him and it simply gets worse until....
