SUPRA POP PACK :::SUPER DOPE FRESH:::

Supra has unveiled another three-sneaker collection that features some very interesting color combinations. The “Pop” pack consists of the Skytop III, Stacks and the Vaider all in primarily subtle, suede uppers and multiple magenta accents. Specifically, the Skytop III owns a mainly grey suede base with a magenta midsole/tongue border, while the Stacks possesses a navy blue upper with a magenta sole/branding. Lastly, the black Vaider makes use of the magenta accents in the form of the branding and inner lining. The Supra “Pop” Pack is now available at SUPRA retailers worldwide, and suprafootwear.com.

Rihanna's new Armani Jeans Campaign

Rihanna is rocking a blonde, blunt cut in the newest campaign for Armani Jeans. In a sexy but sophisticated take on classic noir films, Rihanna wears a mini-sweater with super-skinny dark jeggings looking super svelte and stylish. The campaign was shot by Steven Klein in NYC, and we can expect more shots from this campaign in upcoming months along with her campaign ads for Armani Underwear which she is slated to be the spokesperson for as well.

:::CULTURE CLIMAX::: THE HIDEOUT FOR CONVERSE

Those of you who actually know me personally, know that Converse "Chucks" are one of my favorite choice for footwear. While browsing around CULTURE CLIMAX (One of my favorite sites in the world) I ran across this article and I had to post it...
The Hideout a retailer in London is the latest to collaborate with Converse on these amazing Chuck Taylors. With a great use of simplistic colorways, The Hideout and Converse have put together a very nice collection that is easily wearable with many different outfits.
Have a look below at more pictures. They’ll be released at Converse stores on July 16th.

Style & Vibes: Caribbean Fashion Ruling the Runway from Yard to NY

Summer wardrobe is nothing without a little Caribbean inspiration! As the season is starting, Caribbean designers will be flocking to the runway in the Caribbean and its diaspora next week. Caribbean Fashion Week begins June 8 (and runs through the 13th) at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, Jamaica. Meanwhile, Caribbean International Fashion Week, a one-day showcase in New York City, will also be held June 8, at Manhattan’s Arena Gallery. With a growing number of Caribbean designers and more on the rise, these shows will tell the world that the region’s fashion is not just about straw hats, Rasta colors and Bob Marley T-shirts.
Caribbean Fashion Week has become the stamp of approval for upcoming Caribbean designers and models. Organized by Pulse Model Agency’s parent company Pulse Investments–the agency which discovered super models Jaunel McKenzie, Jeneil Williams and Oraine Barrett–Caribbean Fashion Week is entering its 11th year showcasing the region’s designer collections. The highly rated fashion showcase, of which celebrities like Nia Long, Eve and Kelly Rowland have been seen front row, features some of the best designers from the Caribbean and abroad. The five-day extravaganza is where Caribbean celebrities, boutique buyers, editors, photographers and fashionistas from across the region and diaspora look to see what’s new from the region. Showing collections from across the Caribbean, from Haiti to St. Lucia and Guadeloupe, and a few international design houses, Caribbean Fashion Week has become a staple for designers like Claudia Pegus, Gavin Douglas, Francis Hendy and Biggy, and newcomers like Jae Jolly and Mikaja Laijah.
Where there is fashion there will be music: the two go together like rice and peas. Caribbean Fashion Week hosts a slew of stars each night following the designer collection viewing. This year, live performances are scheduled from reggae/dancehall acts Beenie Man, Mavado, Tanya Stephens, soca artists Machel Montano and David Rudder, and R&B singer Joe.
Although fashions from the Caribbean have been showcased elsewhere in the US, the inaugural Caribbean International Fashion Week, an event organized in association with the Caribbean Tourism Organization, is poised to set the standard on how Caribbean fashion is viewed in the diaspora. June is Caribbean American Heritage Month in the US, and the CIFW is looking to create a lasting brand image of Caribbean designers and continue building on the creativity of Caribbean fashion brands. The showcase will feature designer collections spanning numerous islands including Queen Esther/Kuumba Designs (St Lucia), Theodore Elyett (Bahamas), Jewel Shannon (Barbados), Rebecca Beck (Curacao), Charles Dieujuste (Haiti), Lucia Rodriguez (Dominican Republic), Simon Duncan (Trinidad) and Ron & Ron (Haiti).
Both Caribbean Fashion Week and Caribbean International Fashion Week are a way for designers to showcase their collection and make a name for themselves in both the islands and international markets. Make sure you check back for additional post coverage of both shows here at LargeUp.

Elite Fashion Tips: Summer 2010 Style Trends
Summer is here Gentlemen!! Color, Texture, and Pattern are the key elements that will bring a gentleman's Summer 2010 look to life. Here are a few Summer Style Trends for the Gents that will keep your wardrobe fresh.
Aviators
Yes , Aviator shades are still fresh. They fit nearly every shape face and are nice with either plastic or metal frames. Carrera has some great styles in a variety of frame colors that are fly for your summer fit. If Carrera's line is a bit much , you can always rely on the classic Ray Ban.
SIMPLE TEES
Keep it simple guys... the days of the tattoo inspired crazy stoned and over embellished T's are slipping away. Keep it clean with a not so busy T . I'm not saying to ditch all your graphic T's .... Graphic T's are still okay but lean toward more vintage/classic prints.
Shorts
No more super baggy million pocket cargo's . This season calls for a slimmer cut short with patterns that range from big bold plaids to seersucker; even everyday khaki is a great choice. Fellas, be sure that your shorts end about an inch above the knee. Needless to say short shorts on a man is not a good look!!
Straw Fedora Hat
Nothing says summer like a straw fedora hat! It brings "cool" to your casual ensemble.
Not only are these fashionable, their material allows air to easily pass through – a sweat free way to look great this summer.
Simply Gentlemen wear absolutely NO more oversized, ill fitted clothes. A well tailored look is rollin thru Summer and into Fall. If you are unsure its OK to take a trip to a tailor to get measured. Knowing your size key. This will assist you in following the trend for the summer which is...
