In the introduction of Burton‘s new collaborative collection with adidas Originals, an addendum to the press release mentioned the involvement of Kazuki Kuraishi. With the collection’s release date soon upon us, here are close-up glimpses of some of the creations done by the Japanese designer. No stranger to snowboarding and Burton, Kazuki instinctively knew what to incorporate in this new limited edition. Modeled after the iconic adidas Originals tennis sneakers, the Burton x adidas Originals Vulc Low features an all leather construct with faux fur lining, ideal for on the slope, off the slope activities. The same goes for the Vulc Mid, with the addition of refined suede and aniline leather instead of leather. Last but not least, the Winterball Hi addresses those freakish snow storm with rugged construct made of leather, suede, and mesh. Its reinforced outsole let you conquer the most treacherous of snow banks. The Burton x adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2011 Collection will begin to arrive at select retailers worldwide starting in October 2011.
