PIONEER OFFERS LIMITED EDITION WHITE CDJ 2000s AND DJM 900
When Pioneer originally unveiled its new line of CDJs and the DJM 900 Nexus, it was undeniably the talk of the DJ world. With ethernet connectivity and new displays on the CD players, plus revamped FX on the 900 with the X-Pad control, the list of upgrades to previous models were seemingly endless.
What Pioneer failed to mention though, was that less than a year later it would offer a visually stunning, limited edition run of white CDJ 2000s and DJM 900s. Starting in February, the company will release a total of 1,000 white CDJ 2000s and 500 white DJM 900s worldwide.
Each special edition mixer and player will be adorned with an engraved plaque that lists its individual serial number to indicate its authenticity and limited quantity.
For all the DJ-gear whores out there, this limited edition set is the stuff dreams are made of. Not only is it some of the best equipment on the market, but it’s a unique set that only 500 lucky people will get to call their own. BOB MARLEY'S LAND ROVER TO BE RESTORED :::LARGE UP:::
One of the first things visitors to the Bob Marley Museum see upon entering the premises at 56 Hope Road in Kingston is the singer’s baby-blue 1976 Land Rover. The museum is, temporarily, down one attraction, though, as the classic car was recently sent to a Land Rover dealer in Montego Bay to be assessed for a planned restoration, following years of exposure to the elements. Said to be Bob’s favorite ride, the truck has proven to be very popular with museum visitors—and staff. The Bob Marley Foundation’s general manager, Jacqueline Lynch-Stewart, said the removal of the vehicle has been “very traumatic” for workers there. “Any time anything goes it is traumatic. They get a little emotional.” That mellow mood shouldn’t last long, as the vehicle is slated to return to its usual place out in front of the museum following any necessary fixes.

OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE AS WITH PUBLIC ATTENTION, THE OUTCRY WILL BE ANOTHER EPISODE OF, "WE ELECTED YOU, BUT WHO ARE YOUR WORKING FOR?" CAN YOU IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT GOOGLE? BEING ABLE TO RESEARCH OR SIMPLY FIND A SIMPLE ANSWER ONLINE FOR FREE?!
ON THE DARK SIDE OF THIS BILL, IF YOU WANT TO RECORD YOURSELF SINGING OR DANCING TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG, YOUR A DJ AND YOU CREATE A PROMO MIX AND UPLOAD IT TO A PODCAST, OR STREAMING/DOWNLOAD SITE AND SOME COMPANY DOES NOT LIKE IT? IT CAN BE FORCED TO BE TAKEN DOWN AND YOU CAN POSSIBLY GO JAIL??!! YOU CAN EVEN BE FORCED TO PAY EXTRA FEES FOR ACCESSING CERTAIN CONTENT! THE U.S. GOV'T DOESN'T LIKE WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT A POLICY? THAT CAN BE TAKEN DOWN JUST BECAUSE.. I THOUGHT THAT AS CITIZENS WE ARE SUPPOSED TO ENJOY THE FREEDOM TO EXPRESS OURSELVES AND SPEAK ABOUT ANYTHING THAT WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT... THAT IS NOW ONE MORE THING THAT COMPANIES AND ANY RANDOM GOV'T OFFICIAL CAN NOW POSSIBLY PUT YOU IN JAIL OR CENOR AT THEIR WILL... MOST OF THEM WILL SAY "THAT IS NOT THE FOCUS OR REASON FOR THE BILL, IT'S ABOUT PROTECTING COPYRIGHT MATERIAL..." BUT IF YOU REALLY PAY ATTENTION, THE BILL GIVES SOME VERY QUESTIONABLE POWER(AS WITH 90% OF THE BILLS THAT HAVE BEEN PASSED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS...) BLOGS, TWITTER, FACEBOOK, MOST SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS, WHISTLE BLOWING SITES, ANYONE WHO DARES TO PISS OFF A GOV'T OFFICIAL, OR PUBLISH SOMETHING THAT IS CONTROVERSIAL ONLINE... OTHER THAN BEING ALREADY MONITORED, YOU CAN BE SILENCED...... PAY ATTENTION NOW BECAUSE IT'LL GET REAL EXPENSIVE TO PAY THE PRICE LATER....

Picking up a camera for the first time at the young age of 14, photographer Andres Herren recently traveled from Switzerland to the streets of Los Angeles to capture a dynamic and candid glimpse into the West Coast Chicano culture. Under the guidance of Estevan Oriol, Herren was invited to a series of family reunions and gatherings to capture an insider glimpse of the Los Angeles lifestyle not often highlighted. Laying siege to his firsthand experiences through the lens of his 5D Mark II, the short film highlights the photographer’s reasons for making the journey stateside as well as an impressive reel of footage.
