Jay-Z feat. Chris Martin -"Most Kingz" (New Music)

As a compliment to his recently released Invasion Radio 2K10 Mixtape, DJ Green Lantern unearthed an old Jay-Z song featuring Chris Martin. Originally, the lyrics heard from Jay were featured on the Funkmaster Flex show a while back. But as Miss Info reports, Green Lantern had the acapella's of Jay's verse since 2006. The lyrics just needed a beat, which were attempted by the likes of Timbaland and Just Blaze and even Lantern himself. The end result was heard on Funkmaster Flex's show and Coldplay's "Lost (remix)". The track was also a by product of the same session Martin and Jay-Z recorded "Beach Chair", their collaborative track featured on Jay-Z's Kingdom Come.

Atlanta, Ga is a city a distinct style and flair that's all it's own. I enjoy my trips to the city to dj. I get to see old friends, visit my lil sis, and dj amazing events. This trip was a trip to celebrate the birthday of Kevin Caesar a member of Trends Concepts.

I did a guest appearance at a Ciroc Rooftop Party in downtown Georgia on the rooftop of the Glen Hotel. Some of the beautiful Atlanta people came to socialize and enjoy a great afternoon. Despite a few splurts of rain, it was a great afternoon lime.

That night at Thrive was full of energy as people flew in from all over ready to party! A very good amount of people were in theme "All White…" Dj Shane(Black Talon) kept us moving from early and you could just sense that it was going to be a very fun night! I will say the highlight of the night was when the birthday boy kicked me off the set and made me go Palance with the people! As always the people are of Atlanta were beautiful and full of energy! Never a boring night in the city……….

Kanye Announces G.O.O.D Fridays

In the ever so popular life of Kanye West aka #Itsallaboutme has made an annnouncement on twitter which arrives in very G.O.O.D. times. Yeezy himself has decided to give back and give back G.O.O.D.!!! Yeezy announces that from now till Xmas he will be dropping a new track every week and releasing them on Fridays hence the title G.O.OD. Fridays. The announcement comes from the recent success of "Power (remix)" featuring Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz. Keep a look out for all this newly promised music and ofcourse Yeezy's new album which is scheduled to drop on November 16th. We are looking forward to see what kind of numbers we will see out of Kanye this year.

WU-TANG CLAN was the greatest rap group of ALL TIME(in my opinion of course...) I remember listening to the 36 Chambers over and over and over and over and over! Teachers moved me to the front of the class so that they can make sure that I am not sneaking headphones on to listen to my walkman. The Clan's imprint on hip hop on a whole was something that none of us were ready for, and yet we still are trying to grasp how this group simply appeared from no where and shut down the industry... WASHINGTON D.C. 08-2010

It's been about 2.5 years since I played my last gig in Washington D.C. It felt good to be back in the place that started my love for touring. When asked where I wanted to stay, Georgetown was my obvious choice. I wanted to see what had changed since I left and also to see what goodies I would find that I didn't see before. I saw a few changes and stumbled upon quite a few goodies. I was also honored to meet up with my stylist and very good friend Latoya Sutton of "Elite Styling Firm."
The most noticeable sight to see was the infamous "Georgetown Cupake." I've heard the stories about the crazy lines at anytime of the day, filled with people from all over the world, but I did not expect to see the line that I saw! We drove past around 10:30am then as the day went along the line seemed to be longer everytime I walked past! Amazing!
Next I took a random side street off the strip and found "J.Chocolatier!" We decided to walk in and found a wonderland of treats! Everything made fresh daily and all to do with chocolate. I know quite a few people who would've lost their minds in there and ate till they were sick…lol!
After seeing people's obsession with sweets, I did feel a bit guilty and went over to Dean and Deluca because I know they usually have the fresh fruit stand where you can get the a cup of fruit and/or a freshly made smoothie. I felt better after that smoothie. We spent the rest of day roaming through out Georgetown... "Note: If you run into your stylist in a shopping district, wear shorts and sneakers...Whew"

Dj Super Slice was the very first person who flew me into anywhere to play music, so when he told me that he's on the campaign to bring caribbean sexy back to the city, I was all in. The ambiance walking into the venue was perfect. You just knew that the party was going to sexy and fun. Music was handled by Super slice, Sypda, and myself(The original XradioDC family!) The music was a great blend of Dancehall, Soca, Hip Hop, and my favorite Old School. Mostly everyone walked in dressed in white and ready to have fun. I saw people who I haven't seen in years, including Myxradio friends and even family! Yet, the highlight of my night was getting to introduce some random tourists to the power of "Palance!"

D.C. was great and I'll definitely return more often to continue the love movement!

There was definitely a fun party spirit in the air, and the night was filled with fun, music, and good times. Quite a few people came out to celebrate their birthday and the Leo's made sure everyone was in a celebratory mood as well. 90% of the attendees followed the theme and arrived, "Sexy in Black!" In the words of one member of the bar staff, "Oh man, I haven't seen so many people let loose and simply enjoy life like this in a long time!"

Toronto - Caribana Weekend 2010

Continuing my "Summer of Love Tour" the next stop was Toronto, Canada for the Caribbean Carnival named "Caribana". This was my first time attending and my first adult/dj experience in Toronto. I have been told by many people that Caribana is on one of the largest and most influential weekends in the soca/calypso genre.

Within my first few moments surveying the city on the way from the airport, the city seemed oddly familiar to me, so many buildings and sub-sections seemed like somewhere I've been. As soon as I got into downtown, it all hit me at once! Toronto is the northern cousin to New York City! My hotel was in the heart of downtown so I spent every spare moment walking around downtown, roaming like I lived there all my life. Due to the busy weekend I was unable to do any fine dining, but when you walk into your hotel in downtown, and they are giving you free beef patties because it's carnival weekend, you know that your in a great city…
